We believe everyone deserves a safe, dignified place to call home.

Up until now, the majority of families in La Cuchilla have been living in homes made of stick, mud and bamboo. In 2020, we were able to build 5 new permanent houses, then the hurricanes hit and set us back.

Now we are building 30 more cement homes – one for EACH family in La Cuchilla. These homes will be built on stilts that will withstand hurricanes / flooding, and will include multiple bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and electricity. These will be homes built for thriving, not just surviving! Each home costs $15,000.

We invite you to help raise funds to create a safe and sustainable place for someone to live. Together we will bring hope to the Honduran families we know and love. One generous donation at a time makes this possible.

It is important to note that we won't just be giving these houses away. Each family will be the legal owner of their new home because they will be making affordable monthly mortgage payments. They will be proud and empowered because they are home owners for the very first time in their life.

Beyond just giving money, we encourage you to go deep and really get to know the families you’re serving. Join us on a trip to Honduras to meet these families and see the homes you’re helping build.

Blueprint of La Cuchilla Homes

To date, we have invested $85,000 to build 5 new permanent houses, 9 temporary houses, and to quickly repair the many current houses that were damaged by the flood. We need 450,000 to build all 30 houses for the families in La Cuchilla
