In all 5 of our previous chicken business startups, we’ve seen the huge impacts job opportunities make on family lives. Increased family income leads to healthier families, more emphasis on education, and marriage equality.  Also, having a job within the community allows the mother to stay near her children all day. The business is based on a sustainable model, where the women who work the business will own it completely when it becomes profitable. PURCHASE A SECOND TRUCK AND START A DELIVERY BUSINESS

Through purchasing a second H&H truck, we will start a new delivery business to increase profits of all H&H business by reducing current delivery time and fees. Whether it be supplies for their businesses, construction materials, or hauling livestock or feed to and from the communities, we know this truck will make a huge impact on each business. In order to reach herd optimization more quickly and grow the cattle business to be sustainably profitable, we need 10 female Brangus cattle. Through this purchase, we can provide continuity of supply to customers and increase profits to the men and women workers in all 3 communities. A chicken processing business will increase the current chicken business profits by approximately 83% through providing reliable access to timely processing and by assuming the margins earned from this portion of the value chain. This business will create 4 new job opportunities. Additionally, for the initial 2-month period, 6 jobs will be created to assist in its construction. Chickens will be sold both fresh and frozen. Opening an H&H storefront will not only create 3 more job opportunities, but also will increase the sales and profits of the community business owners by directly selling products to the consumers. The location will be close to the city of El Progreso to take advantage of the large population, and we will train women from La Cuchilla and La Coroza to run the store.
