Nonprofit Management Internship
Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing fundraising, marketing, and operational strategies.
As a Humanity and Hope (H&H) intern, you will collaborate with fundraising, trips, marketing, and operational teams in all stages of campaigns.
This internship will help you acquire business and nonprofit management skills and provide you with knowledge of various nonprofit management strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in business management and nonprofit management and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:
Under direction of Director of Engagement, assist in developing and executing captivating fundraising plans
Assist President of Operations in evaluation efforts for organization’s services, including coordinating data tools, administration of data, data entry, and analysis.
Expand library of individual stories by interviewing volunteers and individuals in Honduras gathering written accounts of their experiences to demonstrate program impact.
In collaboration with Marketing team leader, create and complete marketing plans that draw new and existing individuals into the organization.
Distribute materials to trip participants in advance of humanitarian trips to Honduras
Write updates to volunteers and donors on progress the foundation is making
Assist with volunteer events

Additional Opportunities:
Will have the opportunity to attend high level meetings with prospective donors with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Engagement
Will have the opportunity to work with the President of Operations in guiding the H&H team in Honduras
Will have the opportunity to attend nonprofit board of directors’ meetings
Qualifications:
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Solid understanding of different fundraising and marketing techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel
Passion for helping others
Current enrollment in a related BS, BA, or Masters degree
Proficiency in Spanish preferred
Knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Suite preferred
Additional Information:
Ideally (but not required), the individual would be located in Denver. This role is home based, but will have the opportunity to work in person with the Director of Engagement and President of Operations in Denver. This unpaid role will have a trip to Honduras paid for other than airfare.
